Madrid Barajas International airport is located 13 Kilometres/eight miles north-east of central Madrid. The airport has a good connection to the centre of Madrid. Regular buses, taxi s and an excellent metro system are within walking distance.
Madrid airport has 4 terminals and one additional satellite. The latest terminal, number 4 and its satellite, has been finished in 2006. It s a very sunny terminal with a modern design. It has been designed by the architects Antonio Lamela and Richard Rogers, and Initec and TPS engineer.
The Madrid airport transfer system is well connected to the city. Taxi s, buses and the metro system are the best ways to continue your journey to the centre of the capital.
Main car parks
Madrid airport car parking consists of a total of seven different car parks. The main car parks are P1, P2 and P4 which are located near the Terminals with the same number (T1, T2/T3, and T4).

Rates: First half hour or less 0.62, second half hour or less 0.98, each hour or part of an hour 1.60. Daily maximum for up to 4 days 17.45. Daily maximum from the fifth day 13.95.
You are able to pay in cash at one of the payment machines; they accept nearly all notes and coins. It is also possible to pay with credit card. Do be aware of the limit your credit card has! It is possible to pay higher amounts with your credit card at a manned window.
Long term parking
The long term parking areas are located at every Madrid airport car park. There is a free shuttle bus that goes to the terminals. It is possible to make a reservation to ensure yourself for a long term parking spaces. You can make a reservation by calling the airports service station:
